Woman says she was attacked by Televangelist's "Agents"

Carolyn Tuft, a retired investigative reporter for the Saint Louis Post Dispatch has come forward with a bizarre allegation that she was attacked by three Joyce Meyer "agents" in 2007.

According to Tuft, the attack/mugging happened in the Post Dispatch parking lot where she was physically assaulted and even held at gun point by three men. She claims the goons later sped off in a car "similar to those used in the Joyce Meyers Ministries fleet." She also claims she testified against one of the alleged attackers and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the assault.

As a result of the attack, Tuft claims she has been left with brain and stomach problems so severe, she has been forced to retire. Tuft believes the attack was retaliation for a report she worked on in 2003 where she detailed the financial excesses of the Joyce Meyer Ministries.

I better sleep with one eye open...
